Common symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis can include:

* red, swollen inflamed eyes

* white to yellow discharge

* unaffected vision, but discharge can cause vision blurring

Common reasons our pharmacists may refuse supply of treatment for bacterial conjunctivitis:

* patient is under the age of 12 years

* patient uses contact lenses

* patient has had recent eye surgery

* patient suffers from glaucoma
